Summer Memories

WOW how hot has it been today?!  Whenever I was in my room I felt like I was melting, I can't open my window as wasps always fly in and wreak havoc.  I'm such a wimp when wasps and bees are around, I'm always paranoid that one will fly into my car when I'm driving D:  Anyway I felt inspired by the awesome weather and looked through all the photos on my computer.  It was really nostalgic remembering what I've done in past Summers so I felt like sharing some with you!

Each one of these holds a special memory for me.  Last Summer was the first time I properly went out with friends, stayed out late having fun and just let go of all my worries.  I tend to be quite serious so it feels amazing to unravel and be stress-free!  I'm really looking forward to this Summer as I have so many lovely friends that I've made in the past year, plus I can drive now so there's nothing holding me back :)

Benefit The Porefessional Review

After months of searching I finally found the Porefessional in a blog sale, barely used and half the retail price!  When it arrived it was much smaller than I imagined, especially since I see it as expensive.  It's a nude cream that isn't runny, but not thick either.  I don't need that much as I only apply it to my t-zone and blemishes, and it glides onto my skin and quickly sinks in.  It doesn't cover my blemishes completely, and my pores appear smaller but don't disappear.

I tried using some of my other primers to see if there was a huge difference, and I'm still not completely sure.  My primer before this was the Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro and it does the job.  The Porefessional definitely helps my foundation stay on longer, but I still get patchy foundation and oily skin by the end of the day ):  I guess I set my hopes too high, but since everyone raves about this product I expected it to be amazing.  However I still adore this primer and it's definitely the best I've tried so far!  I really look forward to trying more of Benefit's products some day :D

Don't Stop Believin', Hold On To That Feelin'

Last Sunday I went to my cousin's wedding which took place in a gorgeous renovated farm house!  My family doesn't get together too often, but when we do it's always really fun!  One thing I've learnt to appreciate is how awesome my whole family is and that we're always there for each other, even if we don't talk for half a year.  Anyway back to the wedding!  I got to meet another cousin's son Kaiden who was adorable.  I don't go crazy over babies but he had the cutest laugh and was SO calm compared to other babies I have met.

The wedding breakfast took place in a huge and insanely pretty tent.  All the tables had hand-made flower cupcakes on them, and little trees covered in fairy lights were dotted around the room.  There was also a 'wish tree' where you wrote a message for the new couple on a piece of paper shaped like a butterfly, then hung it on the tree ♥  Rather than having a wedding cake, there was a table COVERED in retro sweets for everyone to take home in little bags :D  At the end of the evening there was a live band who covered loads of awesome bands like Journey and Guns N Roses!

Overall I had an amazing time!  I've stored away loads of ideas for my own wedding, but sadly I'll have to wait a long time for that.  I'm really happy for the newly married couple and can't wait to hear about their honeymoon!

Eyeko 3-in-1 Cream Review

This is one of the popular products Eyeko sold until they (quite randomly) decided to change their image and products.  I really miss the old Eyeko, how cute was the packaging?! I still love all of my Eyeko nail polishes and have a soft spot for them as they were my first makeup/beauty purchase ever :)

I use this cream as a highlighter and dot it on my cheekbones and brow bones (under the ends of my eyebrows) to give my skin a nice glow.  It's very easy to blend into my skin using my fingers and a little goes a long way.  You can tell this is going to last forever as I've barely used any up in the pot.  I actually have a backup pot of this as I won another in a giveaway ages ago!

As Eyeko obviously don't stock this anymore, it can be a little hard to find.  I've seen it pop up in blog sales, and there are usually always some on ebay if you ever want to buy it :)  To be honest I have yet to be wow-ed by any of their new products, and I think they are all overpriced anyway.  I received the 'Fat Eye Stick' in one of my Carmine boxes and wasn't impressed, I've only used it once and doubt I will again.
