I Have Moved!

It's taken a long time for me to complete the process but I have decided to move to a new blog.

It was a hard decision to make as I've become very attached to Whimsical Wolf, but I'm ready to move on as well.  Although I've had other blogs before Whimsical Wolf, this is the one that connected me with other lovely bloggers.  It helped me gain confidence too.  I want to say a big thank-you to all my followers and to anyone who has left comments as they always make my day ♥

If you'd like to visit my new blog, Peppanip, you can click here or on the above image :)

P.S. I'm not in any rush to delete this blog, but most of the social media links won't work now as I've updated all of my usernames.

Dear Diary #2

Well it looks like Summer is officially over now that it's raining pretty much every day!  My Canon camera was returned a few days ago and I missed it so much.  I have loads of photos from this Summer and I'm so glad I captured plenty of memories.

My local town has a big carnival parade every year and we always nick one of the best places to stand >:) The parade wasn't actually as good this year but it was still fun seeing my friends and having a laugh.

A temporary fairground also went up at the same time as carnival week so we went a few times to go on all the rides!  They were £1 each and I actually enjoyed a giant kid's fun house the most.  We couldn't resist buying slushies and candyfloss before leaving to walk home.

I took my mum to watch a Newfoundland dog display on the beach!  Newfoundlands are huuuuge and very slobbery but they were more than happy to jump in the sea.

On the last night of carnival week there is always a big firework display.  I went with friends and family this year and missed half of the display because I was trying to eat the world's biggest pancake :')

There's a restaurant in Norwich called Captain Americas Hamburger Heaven and me and Dan have been going now for years.  I usually have BBQ chicken or a burger but last time I went for a jacket potato.  It was ridiculously tasty but I needed Dan's help to eat all the chips!
I also went to Yo Sushi for the first time and had so much fun.  You have to watch how much you eat though as it can get rather expensive.  Luckily we went on a Monday so the blue plates and bowls were half price.  I can't quite decide whether I like Wagamama more as their katsu curry is heavenly!

A spitfire flew by over the sea a few days ago so I quickly ran to take photos of it.  Sadly it didn't fly too close but I managed to get some half-decent shots :)

I only have a few more weeks before I start my 3rd year of uni.  It doesn't feel like I've spent 2 years there already.  I'll be writing my dissertation this year and I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to it or not.  I really don't know what I'll be doing after I graduate which is both exciting and scary!

London Bound

Hi guys, long time no see!  I've been really busy with work and rarely have free time anymore.  Plus my Canon camera broke so it's currently away being repaired :'(  While I was looking through my photos I realised I completely forgot to share my trip to London!

It was a surprise birthday trip for Dan as he's never been before :)

We took the train and I decided to walk everywhere to save money (warning: do not wear Dr Martens you *think* are worn in because they will tear your tootsies apart).  The first place we visited was the Ripley's Believe It Or Not! museum.
We had great fun exploring and the museum is filled with curious objects and oddities.  There was actually a really funny bit with a two-way mirror but I won't spoil it for anyone who wants to go ;)  The only downside was that it seems a little run down in places and could do with some TLC.  The dinosaur in the photos above had huge rips in his other side but it didn't look like he'd be repaired any time soon.

After that I decided to take Dan to Bodean's as he loves burgers and all my friends recommended it.
We had tasty mocktails and I chose to have BBQ pulled pork which was scrummy.  Thinking about it makes my mouth water!  Dan had his obligatory burger and it arrived in a cute little basket.  The restaurant's atmosphere was really laid back and fun which made us feel relaxed.  I'm quite a nervous traveller and was really worried about being 'in charge' of everything and going to new places.  The staff at Bodean's were lovely though and made us feel at home.  I'd love to go back again some time :)

I also took Dan to Forbidden Planet where we bought loads of Adventure Time stuff (including a hardback comic signed and doodled in by the creator, squee!!) but sadly I didn't take any photos.  We did however pass by a Snog and couldn't resist getting some frozen yoghurt.

I'd also planned on going to the London Dungeons or the aquarium but sadly we didn't have the time.  We wandered over to the London Eye anyway and relaxed as it was absolutely boiling and we had a long walk back to the train station.  We both fell asleep on the train ride back as we were completely exhausted.  I love London's bustling activity, but there's nothing like coming home to a quiet house tucked away in the countryside.  We're planning on going back again next year :D

P.S. Here's a bonus photo of us in the mirror maze at Ripley's.  We managed to get through it first time without any mistakes 'cause we are total badasses.

Dear Diary

I went to the new Gourmet Burger restaurant in Norwich and it was delicious (but pretty expensive!).  I had a Cheese & Bacon burger, skinny fries and a glass of strawberry & elderflower fizzy.

I've been going to the beach with my friends every Wednesday evening and we're hoping to do it all Summer.  Now it's warmer we get to paddle in the sea!  I find it really relaxing after a day at work.

We also spotted the boat my boss goes fishing in!  He's offered to take us with him one day which sounds really exciting, but we'll have to get up very early as he fishes in the early hours of the morning.

On another trip to Norwich I bought a parma violets milkshake which was AMAZINGGG.  I didn't want it to end.  The shop also offered hot chocolate made with melted nutella which I'm planning to try as soon as it gets chillier :O

Dan bought me a shark shaped paddling pool and I spent this afternoon relaxing in it with a book.  My parents think I'm silly but we'll just ignore the fact that I'm 22 this year :P

My Day At The Royal Norfolk Show

I went to the Royal Norfolk Show a few weeks ago and had a really fun day!  Apparently I went once before when I was little but I don't remember anything, so I was super excited when I was allowed to book the day off work.  The weather was gorgeous and I took loads of photos (mostly of cute and/or funny animals ;D) which I'll share below.

There was a huuuuge food hall filled with tasty treats!  We bought some fancy cheese and I wasn't able to resist a tray of chocolate covered strawberries ♥

 *squealing at the cuteness*
I'm not sure if I mention it often on my blog, but I am obsessed with dinosaurs.  There was a giant robot t-rex that swung its head around and roared :O I wanted a dino sticker too but couldn't get past all the kids :'(

One of my favourite parts of the day was watching the dog agility show.  I loved seeing owner and dog happily working together and having loads of fun.

I spent all day looking for something special to take home as a souvenir and wasn't getting very far, but we came across a glass blower who had made loads of tiny animals!  I was spoilt for choice but in the end I picked a little snake and a crocodile.  There was also a Joules tent too where everything was 50% off and my mum bought a pair of wellies for £17!

I'm already thinking about going next year too as I had such a great time.  The tickets to the event were very expensive though which is a little off-putting, but I've heard that the prices might be lowered which is fantastic :)

'Sweet Dreams, Herbie'

My brother has been going to a few Volkswagen shows lately and he took my camera along to take these photos.  He's actually restoring a Beetle at the moment (which I am veeeery jealous of haha!) and it's going to be cream with a red interior.  I've always had a soft spot for classic cars and it would be a dream come true to own a lovely little Beetle.

Apparently it's now quite popular to restore classic cars and then buy special rust paint to give the illusion that they're banged up!  I found it really odd at first but now I think it can look pretty good if done well :)  I'm hoping to go with my bro to one of these shows later this Summer which should be fun!
