'And There'll Be Sun Sun Sun'

My life has been pretty boring lately as I'm back to working full time for the Summer.  However now I'm 21 I get higher wages which isn't too bad ;)  Plus I get to work right on the coast with an ice cream shop just around the corner!  I've lived on the coast for 15 years now and I can't imagine being away from the sea.

I don't get to enjoy much of the sunny weather we're getting as I work indoors, so I've been reading and playing lots of video games in the evenings.  The new Animal Crossing game was released yesterday on the 3DS and I'm obsessed :D  I always look forward to coming home and seeing how my little town is doing.  I've also been reliving my childhood by playing Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on my GameCube.

I've been reading the Game of Thrones series too and only have 1 more book to read till I'm up to date!  I found out that the next book isn't being released till 2015 though :(  I think I might watch the TV series as everyone seems to be loving it.  I've also finished watching season 2 of The Walking Dead!  If you have any books/games/tv shows that are awesome please suggest some :D

'Far Over The Misty Mountains Cold'

Earlier this week a heavy sea mist rolled inland and every morning and evening the valley was shrouded in white.  D and I ventured out into it one night to explore.  It was eerily quiet and claustrophobic.  Everything was coated in tiny dew drops and the air was damp and chilly.  I had a hat and gloves on but I was still freezing.  I'm back to wearing more of my Winter clothing now as it's been so windy and cold here.  Come back Sun :(

I'm off to London on Saturday which I'm stupidly excited about!  My family are going to a museum, but I'm off to get a tattoo and explore with a couple of friends.  On Sunday I'm thinking of going to a vintage fair at Blickling Hall (if I can convince my mum to go with me!) but on Monday I'm back to work as it's a bank holiday and I expect I'll be very very busy.  My Micra also has his MOT test next Tuesday, so fingers crossed for him!

Making Memories

Last weekend some family friends came to visit from Manchester and we decided to have a BBQ on Monday evening.  We had loads to eat (corn on the cob is my favourite, yum!), released a couple of Chinese lanterns, then sat around a fire chatting away into the night.

I couldn't believe how well the fire photos turned out.  I was testing out my Canon's night time mode and assumed it wouldn't be very good.  I love how there seem to be figures in the flames.  I can see a dragon or a horse in the second photo :)

Now that I've submitted my project I finally have some free time.  It always feels quite surreal when I finish a project as I don't know what to do with myself!  I'm really looking forward to taking loads of photographs this Summer and dedicating more time to my artwork.  2013 has been pretty tough so far but I've got lots of fun things to look forward to in the coming months :)

Life Lately

These photos give the illusion that I've been getting out a lot lately when in fact 99% of the time I'm stuck indoors doing uni work :P  My project's deadline is coming up in 2 weeks and I've been procrastinating way too much!

How cute is my kitty top?  I got it from Drop Dead last year and it always gets lots of compliments when I'm out and about.  I've had these velvet Dr Martens for months and I'm so happy I can wear them now the sun is out!  A few days ago I packed away all my Autumn/Winter clothes and dug all my Spring/Summer ones out.  It was actually pretty fun as I found loads of old favourites that I forgot I owned and I can't wait to wear them :)
